Shenzhen Metro Line 6:Photovoltaic Power+Transportation Pattern Application
Shenzhen Metro adhered to the new development concept and aimed to build a fashionable, technological and high-level metro line for the purpose of promoting the green, low-carbon and cyclic development. In order to save the energy and reduce the greenhouse gases emission, Shenzhen Metro innovatively launch the distributed photovoltaic power system building project in the constructions of Line 6 overhead stations, hoping to build a low-carbon, environmentally-friendly and green demonstration metro line.
As a route that connects central area and western high-tech district of Shenzhen, Metro Line 6 runs through Baoan, Guangming, Longhua, Futian and Luohu districts, which has been expected and paid much attention since the trail operation. It takes only thirty minutes from Guangming Street to Futian Sports Center by taking Metro Line 6. Line 6 shortens the travel time from Guangming district to the central area as well as develops the economics of the area along the line 6.
It is reported that Shenzhen railway line 6 includes fifteen overhead stations. The distributed photovoltaic power systems have been installed in the overhead stations except Shenzhen bei station, Changzhen station and Fenghuangcheng station. It is the first large-scale application of distributed photovoltaic power systems in the urban railway system.
To build the distributed photovoltaic power systems in the overhead stations, we are supposed to take the safety of photovoltaic power system and the appearance of overhead stations into consideration. Therefore, the engineering company sent an experienced technical team to design various sets of photovoltaic power system components after the in-depth field research.
The use of anti-loose high-strength aluminum alloy bracket system solves the hidden dangers of component installation caused by train vibration when the train is running. Special cable laying channels make the photovoltaic system and overhead station look beautiful and elegant. The photovoltaic grid-connected mode ensures the safety and stability of the subway power supply system operation.
It is reported that the average annual generating capacity of Shenzhen Metro Line 6 is 2,340,000 kilowatt-hour, which are able to meet 30% electricity need of each overhead station. During the twenty-five year service life, the photovoltaic power systems are estimated to generate 54,650,000 kilowatt-hour in total. The whole electricity it generated is equal to the electricity generated by 17,925 tons of standard coals, which is estimated to realize the economic benefits of 50,470,000 yuan. These photovoltaic power system which installed in the overhead stations realized efficient integration and optimal unification of photovoltaic power generation, transportation, energy saving and emission reduction, green travel, and low-carbon ecology, which is an important demonstration for other photovoltaic power projects.
This project is a milestone for Shenzhen Metro and also an innovative measure of the application of “photovotaic power and transportation” pattern. Shenzhen Metro will continuously adhere to the green, safe and intelligent electricity consumption concept and work out transportation construction solution, in order to reduce the carbon emissions.
